Home Heating: Brian Dooher Donemana, Co. Tyrone

9 June 2025

Brian Dooher, a former Gaelic footballer & appointed co-manager of the Tyrone senior football team in 2020, lives in Donemana, Co. Tyrone. Living in a rural location, Brian had an oil heating system but he wanted to change to a cleaner and more efficient fuel for his home and the environment. The previous oil system struggled to cope with the family’s demand for hot water while the house was taking too long to heat.

By switching from oil to LPG, Brian and his family could benefit from a cleaner fuel source. LPG is clean burning, meaning it is free from lead and sulphur and produces considerably less carbon emissions than oil. An LPG powered central heating system also comes with a modern, quiet and super-efficient boiler. Living in a rural area, oil theft is a constant worry for homeowners but with LPG your fuel supply is safe. Brian and his family were very impressed with LPG and decided to make the switch.

The installation was completed by a local Gas Safe Registered engineer. A layout was agreed for the pipework and where the tank would be placed. The Gas Safe Registered engineer then fitted the gas boiler and completed the pipework. The tank was then sited and filled, and Brian had his new heating system up and running in just two days. It was a seamless switch over process with very little disruption to Brian and his family.
