Montalto Estate opened for business in 2010 with the initial business offering of Montalto House as a private hire venue for functions. The business ethos has always been centred around sustainability, regrowth and regeneration of woodlands and gardens, the buildings themselves and supporting the reconnection with nature within every aspect of Montalto Estate.

All the venues, as well as the café, shops and offices were previously powered by LPG for heating and cooking. When renewable bioLPG first became available in 2018, they chose to make the switch from LPG to bioLPG. This was a seamless transition for the business with no requirement to change any equipment or appliances.
